Hi Astrid
Heres some pics from the install. Some of the works are swapped out for others in some pics as i was playing around. I did settle on presenting ceramic works together with the glass engravings. Bianca and I discussed that perhaps separating the works and letting them speak alone would work better? I'm actually thinking of making the engravings larger and mounting them on the wall, possibly with lighting behind. Im also working on more stands for other artefacts
Also the lighting was set so that when you walk around you disrupt the lighting/shadows. This was intentional but in the small space It was a bit discouraging to move through it. B mentioned integrating the lighting sculpturally through overt studio trusses which I think would really amplify the museological curated-ness of it.
I have AD space booked for the examination. Its a big block of a space so I really want to black it out and use spot-lighting to break it up. And maybe look on getting some steel platforms because the wooden floor isn't the best.
A bit of a babble lol but thanks for looking and I'd love any feedback!
